The biggest thing I can come up with is an ultimatum from both sides. Yugo likely wanted to return to their old band but Nijisanji most likely wanted to say it was us or them. I think it was a back and forth thing for awhile. The termination message clearly mentions discussions about what it means to be a liver.

I think Yugo, behind the scenes, may have started working with their old band or something like this. It reads like a breach of contract without stating it as one.
