Scarle and Marin both are into Japanese culture. Just different sides of it. Marin more on the idol side while Scarle being VNs and hot boys.

Of the first two waves I'd say the biggest Japanophile would be Petra since she learned Japanese for VNs, watched Nijis, is into anime, and now moved to Japan to go to school in Japan. Then you look at Finana which she's mostly into Japanese stuff through mostly hentai and a little anime and FFIVX. Then Selen is probably the least interested in Japanese media. Of course you know initial impressions about two years ago with most people disliking Petra and liking Selen so being into Japanese media or culture doesn't matter to the audience. None the less there will be that audience rift with a girl talking about media geared for them to an audience of guys.
