The secret is to spend less effort than them.
During the moona loops I kept two or three images ready that showed a positive interaction, a few clicks and no more "they hate each other omg".
After a while they'll either switch or try to force it and others will call them out. Time to just ignore at that point since the loop is dead anyway and baiting (you)s is their version of the low effort attack.

Stuff like this is just handy to have, drop a quick >>egg and leave/ignore. This does not exclude essayposting btw, just make sure to get enough mileage out of your write up.
