We've had a similar discussion here a few threads ago. I also think that there's nothing wrong with it and that it's a perfectly natural reaction to get attached when you watch her streams and keep coming back for more every day. I wouldn't necessarily argue that it's "the main reason" to engage in this hobby, but that might just depend on the individual person and their level of attachment. I can also occasionally enjoy watching other streams by V that aren't my Oshi even if I'm not particularly invested in them, but obviously it's not quite the same thing. I've been following FBK for years at this point so it's undeniable that I have formed some sort of parasocial relationship with her, but it doesn't have to be a bad or unhealthy thing if you are reasonable about it. It's helped me during tough times and also made boring wagie life more bearable by giving me something to look forward to on most days even if I have nothing going on. As long as you don't spend your life savings on superchats or goods or you end up getting obsessed to the point that it harms her, yourself or other people, being invested is perfectly fine. While she does stress the friend thing a lot, she doesn't actively discourage this kind of attachment and makes it quite clear that she is very grateful for the love and support she is given, but at the same time always makes sure to let people know that they don't have to spend any money to support her, to stay within their means if they do and to engage with all this in a healthy manner. She's not exploiting us and she really does understand these relationships from both perspectives, that's one of the things what makes her so great.
