If this is no jape and not-solo then I am sorry for your suffering. I'll just assume both solo and full-party ranking.

1. Recognize all the nice places to put traps in a building, inform your team if you're blocking a door with a trap.
2. Recognize when to keep replacing traps and when to shoot. Shooting is usually the better choice if your team is in very close quarter combat.
3. Learn to throw grenades so your ult is not just limited to last ditch efforts.
4. When rotating, leave a barrel behind cover every now and then, check your map if the barrels are disappearing or if there's a damage tick on your crosshair.

Extra: get good at shooting and take care when peeking because man's fat due to all the cream in his coffee.

Any "competitive" game comes with trash. I got into APEX after watching Festival and LVG members play and the vibes are mostly all right until they try something like what >>21454749 mentioned.

Context on what turns listeners rabid: ranking and tryharding. The more challenges they take on the more antis they attract but there's a knock on effect with frequent listeners when they see their girl/dude not having fun or improving(Noah hitting Masters but still forgets to reload) or have less variety(Festival and Chii-chan APEX addiction).

Also doesn't help that some of them lower their guard or are easily baited by antis.

It's all right to have a private coach since the idea is to improve on a personal level but without a group coach, team lead has to decide on a gameplan and put in more work to implement it.
Ironically Matsuri nabbed a coach for team Hoshikawa immediately with the reasoning that she is a bit hardheaded and it's easier to defer to the judgment of an impartial third party with more experience.
