Can We Fix it? Yes We Can! Edition

Last night brought with the culmination of two promises. The first was Nyan finally finishing FFX, her favorite game of all time, after marathoning it for nearly 40 hours last week. Final preparations were made, she went into the final boss fight, and then just fucking lost it over those last few cutscenes. The circumstances in which Jecht reunites with his son Titeass were heavy, and even though she lost the fight and had to rewatch the scenes they kept their impact. As the credits rolled she talked about how important and meaningful the game has been for her, and how her desire to explore voice acting started thanks to it. It was really sweet to see and may be the first time she's ever completed the game on stream despite starting at least two different playthroughs over the years. She planned on doing other things afterwards, but the stream left her so emotionally drained she ended stream shortly after.

Then for complete tonal whiplash there was Mouse's stream. To fulfill a charity goal she had to compliment a Welsh monkey for an hour. If she fails and insults him by mistake the timer is restarted! While easy to assume that meant it would be an entire stream of compliments rather than just the hour, she actually pulled out all the steps and made for great content. For most of the stream she spoke in a dull, monotonous tone while issuing compliments so half-baked and lazy that not a single one of them felt genuine. Which just made the actual nice things she said after successfully completing the hour all the more impactful. The pair work great together and even outside of the complimenting portion getting to hear the monkey talk about his bizarre, fucked up dreams were really fucking good. Both streams were well worth watching for entirely different reasons!

While today's off to a slow start that's because we've got a huge collab planned! Nyan, Mouse, Vei, Silver, and hopefully Snuffy will be playing Valheim together and building a trading post. No idea what that means but that's a winning combination that can't possibly fail, but until that begins we're in for a slow one. Make sure that you do your best to keep the thread comfy and civil by ignoring bait, and remember to be excellent to each other.
