There is also someone claiming that James Wicks has been defrauding people as a convention organizer for years prior to his animation escapades. He's been reportedly sighted in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Alabama. One of his fraudulent conventions has been identified as "Sawa-con", which according to this website that documents anime conventions, attempted to operate between 2019-2021, with the 2020 and 2021 conventions being cancelled. I intended to investigate the Sawa-con website itself, but uBlock Origin strongly advised against doing so
