Duo is good for basic stuff, but after a while you'll notice you're not learning as much. At that point you should just start doing things like anki for sheer vocab, and reading/listening when you can to continue making progress, otherwise you'll feel like you're treading water and not getting anywhere. I didn't catch onto that fast enough, and now my crowns are my shame.
