This post in particular describes the birth of the NTS -> NTR plot, which is starting to reach the age where some Nip authors, knowing that playing it straight is expected, bait it just to add depth to an ultimately mutually fulfilling relationship. There’s a refreshing purity to the idea that in non-coomer spheres, playing it straight still feels subversive relative to the already uncommon idea of wifesharing in the first place.
