Well, as an example, Kaguya Luna.
She now makes videos only instead of streaming, they are hand drawn, voiced characters, telling stories and crafted jokes. As opposed to livestreamed spontaneous humor.

She has a character, a 3D model, sings, keeps in character along with voice acting. Her videos do super well. Yet almost no one would call her a vtuber since she doesn't stream gaming like most do. She pointed out from the start that the vtubing format is too limited, everyone does the same thing. And after being screwed by her company, she went to do things her own way.

Taking time to come up with stories, jokes, craft then, draw them, edit them. Instead of showing up to just talk everyday expecting clippable moments to occur randomly like most vtubers do.

Usually I would be against it but, fuck, for how long can you watch vtubers playing random videogames for hours a day?
It just becomes insufferable and boring at some point. I'm sure for vtubers too specially. Videogames being miserable nowadays doesn't help. There is barely any good stuff to play.

Streaming is such a super limited medium, can't do interesting shit like omega sisters doing weird virtual shit or azumalim doing roadtrips. Do you really expect another 10 years of doing minecraft shit like if any of that crap mattered?

Without something new to do the fate of all Holos is the same, wait until a new gen comes out and the people move to them and abandon you.
Everyone always doing the same gaming content because it's easy, no improvement, only waiting for your next replacement.

Yes. I have been watching vtubers since 2017. Animare, Tenmakinin ver G, Gamebu, small indies, I'm old and I have watched thousands of vtubers.

A career as a content creator (not just vtubers) it's always a rule that creators always live or die by their audience. Sure you can do anything you want, if you don't expect or care about money or fame.

But if you build an audience and profit from them, you better as hell respect their values, their feelings and times. It changes for all kind of creators. Very different audiences.
But this dumbass yab Kronii is having is a classic blunder. Build an audience doing shit you don't care about, see them as paypiggies, call them entitled, then act surprised and shocked when you betray those feelings and cry about harassments.

A tale as old as time. Millions of content creators always fall in the same hole. Do whatever to get popular/make money/get attention. And then cry when it's not the kind of attention you wanted.

The only options you got is to keep pleasing your audience (like Gura) or accept it's over and be ok with losing numbers, make a new audience. You can't bitch about fucking yourself up.
