You can go for kill moves and 3v3s before the first ring closes.
Startend(STA) tried doing that last year, but... look at how that turned out.

It's just not a very smart move to make when every "fair" 3v3 is realistically a 50/50 for you. The smarter way is to secure a strong position in the endgame ring, or path yourself so you're always in a good spot. Then just get freebies, and if you have to 3v3, you'll be isolated.
The game looks like it's pure RNG but trust me, that's only because whatever is happening in the moment was decided by decisions made 5 minutes ago.

I feel bad for the team they kept trying to grief for 3 killpoints, because now they have to play their bonkers game too. That team was PPP and Startend dragged them to the bottom 5 with them.
