That reminds me when I was a kid we played with bootleg Duel Masters cards and I was the best at English so it was my job to translate the descriptions. I mistakenly thought one of the card effects was that the creature is stronger if the players are playing at night, not realizing it was lore/flavor text that the bootleg card maker printed too high lol

Forgetting Shiori's birthday and by 3PM she reminds you about it so you're like "Ah shit sorry... yeah I'll take you out to eat somewhere just let me finish this Dota match" so she waits and waits but while she's in another room I start another Dota match one because I forget about her again and she sees this and whines about it so I tell her to calm down and stop freaking out (gaslighting her a little in the process) so when we finally go out to eat it's 5:30PM and she thought we were gonna eat at a restaurant but I only take her to Burger King and in the line as we order I tell her I didn't bring any money and that she has to be the one paying and she starts crying in public so I berate her for ruining our "night out" (gaslighting her to make it seem like it's her fault again)
