Nobody really stops horseracing even when it's only holos involved, the issue is that once holo v holo is "allowed" outside of horseraces - as has been the case some time back - it simply becomes an excuse to shit on holos randomly.
Sure, 1-2 posts will use numbers to shit on Bae or Debuffson or whoever, but within hours they will stop using numbers and simply start shitting on holos randomly - and then when THAT gets pushback, they will whine that things are "boring" or whatever - just like you're doing.
In the end - a slow and boring thread is a lot better than a faster thread that's 50% shitflinging, because there's more potential for sane discussions.

You know what, scummy as this is, it's still a "story arc" that can be appreciated if you're a whipped sister inside the fanbase surrounded by sisters who think just like you to affirm your mentality.

It's a story that starts with "your oshi burned out and decided to quit", with Mysta thinking that nuking his channel would allow his most dedicated fans to move on and watch other chuubas rather than clinging to him forever.
His fans try to appeal to him, make him understand that his VODs are like "memories" to them, and he decides to "shit test" them, setting an impossible (in his head) goal for them to achieve, thinking it'll never happen.

Of course, the sisters are dedicated a f and desperate to save his VODs, and so do everything in their power (no matter how illegal) in order to boost the song's numbers to 1M, and they achieve it, not within the month, but within 24 hours.
In their POV, this is them "showing their love" towards him, giving him a "goodbye present", and getting one in return.
And once Mysta convinces management to keep his VODs up, it will be a neatly tied story arc.

Anons /here/ aren't as rose-tinted as the sisters and can see the casual numberfagging for what it is, but for those inside the fanbase this was probably a very pleasant story arc in the leadup to his graduation.

There's honestly a world of difference between the two. A lot of things that wouldn't be obvious to non-entertainers.

This also includes not revealing their faces or irl identities on their personal accounts (present ones, not the past) or not having a roommate account at all.
4. Running gags, storylines, older references, character bits and other staple anime tropes are often used in streams (e.g. Aqua's oft-referenced Inkyap, Shion/Noel boob jokes, Pekora Minecraft/Rust, Towa being AkuSui anti etc.)
