Selen is a pretty wise girl, she's perfectly aware that AGP's performance at the tourney was due to factors completely out of her control, such as but not limited to not getting to train her team, having to play the wrong gamemode, Apex servers being kusoge and most importantly, one third of the team literally dying on stream (did Bonbon make it btw? JWU).
However, she's also wise enough to know that blaming a bunch of external factors upon a failure is not a good look, even if it's entirely justified, so she did the classic responsible leader thing of blaming it on herself in public. This is the ideal thing to do, because this way you don't come across and whiny and also since everyone is well aware it wasn't your fault everyone will respond with support.
Selen knows exactly what she is doing, and that's why I love her.
