I mean, it's not a bad thing. Gura being less relevant has a lot of benefits like:

I mean, I love Gura and she's my oshi and all, but come on. If we were to compare, apples to apples, who is a "better person", Ame wins by all known metrics.
We just like Gura the best because she's a bit cuter.

I never played Stanley Parable but I sure wasn't expecting it to be such a good stream game for Gura. Those were awesome streams.
