Well given that the images that flashed in Mouse's video were of biblically accurate angels I'd say it's definitely intentional. Probably trying to make a connection between impossible to comprehend monsters from outside time and space and the fucked up way angels look in reality vs the beautiful facade they put on. There's also video glitches when the true form of the angels appears on screen. Didn't think about it yesterday but it's an interesting detail that they've kept consistent.
