I'd bring more into everything she wants to do -Martial arts as part of fitness, outdoor sports and rock hounding, herbs that could be grown in the garden and how to use them, a high level of knowledge on the paranormal supernatural and other topics that would always have her thinking and enjoying new insights and possibilities. Broadening her horizons with a unique perspective and being there as someone who can see into and share a depth of loving understanding of who she is at a profound level out of appreciation.

Hugging Layna and feeling the wonderful contours of her body and the warmth of her being as she settles into it and gives me a happy squeeze in return with a contented little sigh of pleasantly surprised bliss as she melts at how genuine, loving and appreciative my embrace is. That makes for the crux of the problem, your intuition can end up at odds with the feeling of deprivation over not having had genuine Love and nurturing from your parents. So a lot of the time, people with that history will disregard the empathic faculty that develops and that would warn them of people who don't have anyone's best interest at heart. In Layna's case, she's been learning to recognize that propensity and balance it after It's led her into getting involved with people she would have held back from or been more careful about the dynamic that forms if she had payed attention to it. In our case, some of us have gotten so steadfast on avoiding people like that and the certainty that we'll end up having to deal with them at some point that we barely even bother trying to meet new people at all anymore.

Well, you showed that you don't understand Love, if you think it requires being schizo when someone has aspects of themselves that seem contradictory. You don't know much about people either, more to the point though, Love is something we feel at the moment of recognition of a common or relatable path of experience and personal nature at fundamental levels. Empathy is the spark that allows it to alight and I Love Layna for how she has such a kind-hearted and self-sacrificing strain and wants to be in that with others but has also been around enough and had enough shit-heads try and foul her to learn that she has to balance that with her assertiveness. I'm intrigued rather then repulsed at how she channels a lot of that into her art and appreciation for horror but even her strong sense of empathy runs into that as it gets triggered by that which is monstrous. So of course she draws people with unpleasant dispositions who wish that they could somehow possess her. Yet as noted, she is mature enough not to let them drag her down again and so they get spiteful and vindictive and determined to do exactly that.
That dynamic resonates strongly with me and combined with how delightful she is, it inspires a deeply felt and sincere Love for her.

I've honestly thought about how it would work being a partner with Layna, I think we would get along great on a personal level but I'd need to be willing to push myself to travel more but then. When I did so before, it was by myself and under some pretty desperate circumstances. So doing it more for fun with her would probably be some of the best times of my life and I'd be so loving, considerate, resourceful and protective but most important, fun to be with. I'm familiar with the paranormal too and she was saying that she wants to go to places known for that in her travels. The only other thing is that I'm not that big on gaming but it would be better for her streaming career if I was only on with her at intervals anyway and I have no problem being self-directing so maybe that would be for the best too. Sometimes, I wonder why I love her so much but then I hear the warmth of her voice again and I think about what could be.
