For anyone who needs a quick rundown of the plot needed so far.
Jonathan Joestar, son of the Joestar family, engaged in a childhood rivalry with Dio Brando, who was adopted into his family. After becoming adults, Dio became evil, more evil than he was when he was younger (he put Jonathans dog into a garbage furnace right after first meeting him.) Dio ended up slowly poisoning Jonathans father and defaming him to try and get his inheritance. This failed, and Jonathan was about to get Dio arrested. However, Dio used the stone mask, an artifact from an ancient time, in order to become a vampire! He burned down the mansion and was presumed dead, but he lived! A bit later, a man named Will Anthonio Zeppeli taught Jonathan about the stone mask, vampires, and a force called the ripple, which allowed humans to channel the power of sunlight with their breathing in order to fight vampires. Jonathan and Zeppeli tracked down Dio and defeated him by cutting his head off, but lost their companion Dire and almost lost their other companion Straights. As Jonathan was traveling by ship with his wife Erina, it was revealed that Dios head lived! It was taken away by Wang Chung and they set a trap on the ship to burn it down! Erina lived with a random child she found before it was destroyed by hiding away in Dios specially made coffin. Jonathan dies of blood loss while holding the head of Dio on the ship as it burns down around him.
