The strength of shitcoins is that when Choco goes to 6k I can sell 50, profit at 2~4k a share, and immediately buy 100 the next day because she dove back to 3.5~4.5k. Approaching it from the angle of "how do we fix shitcoin dividends" is pointless and only leads to "let's flip the dividend meta turnways".
Shitcoins are at their best when you play the day-to-day market around them. You are making a gamble. It is not safe money, but it's a low buy-in compared to the metacoins, so it's very appealing for people that want to circulate liquid quickly and generate small incremental profits.

This is a spitball, so I've put almost no thought into it at all, but one idea is that you could change adjustment volatility based on market volume. Lower-volume coins have more drastic adjustments. They spike higher but crash lower. There's obviously problems with that, but it's an idea. Everyone seems to be overfocused on dividends. I think dividends are fine. >We need to start looking at improving the play experience for day-to-day play, otherwise the game is going to become "play maybe 30 minutes a week and wait for Dividends", which is what is causing a lot of the percieved lull lately.

It's not the "ain't sellin'" meta that needs attacked, it's the circumstances that led to that being the only way to play for a while.
