GURPS is a mass toolbox of ideas and mechanics, even if it kind of melds together into a "GURPS Flavor." One could argue that C is more of the "GURPS-Like" angle due to being a one-size fits all super simple idea.

Todays card is Five of Swords!

This is a card about conflicts and competitions! Today we will be challenged by others, or perhaps try to show others that our way is the right one. Unlike friendly games, this is on a higher level and sometimes this card represents victory at all cost.

It’s important to choose your battles and always measure the worth of opposition. But if you really have no other option, make sure that you are ready to face defeat as well. If you are not able to throw your everything into something this important, your heart will waver and you will fail.

Being ready for defeat is often not treated as a good attribute in todays highly success focused world. Who wants to waste time on something that might lead to failure? But as any good student knows, failure teaches us so much more than success ever does.

Gird yourself and face todays challenge head on!
