nta but I've been around since 2005 and it only got really bad around 2013 when a certain video game board fell down the right-wing rabbit hole due to their hysteria over video game reviewers being biased and dragged every other board down with them.
In fact between like 2007-2011 or so like half the boards had a sizable trap/trans userbase and crossdressing threads were pretty popular. The difference between back then when >we used to actually like things and self-segregate away from content we dislike and now when it's just overly sensitive shitposters raging at the world over every perceived ideological offense is like night and day. I'd feel bad for the newfags who never got to experience this site in its golden years if it weren't their fault for not lurking moar.
