She's still working for the same company. upd8 was owned by Activ8. When upd8 folded, Activ8 did not, they just got rid of their unprofitable talent. Kizuna Ai - still property of Activ8 - was spun into her own company Kizuna AI Inc. However both Kizuna AI Inc. and the former upd8 are under the umbrella of Activ8.
Despite the rumors Kizuna Ai never got rid of the black company. The whole NFT idea was probably Activ8 being a retarded black company for the nth time.
At this point Activ8 has mismanaged the Kizuna Ai brand so badly, I just wish for her to reincarnate into something unrelated to that deplorable organization.
