they have regional and national show choir competitions where you go with your group to perform in front of audiences and judges
if youve ever heard of or seen the show glee the first few seasons are pretty good and somewhat representative of how it works
its mainly singing and dancing and not really primarily singing like a standalone choir is but i did that for half the year too because show choir was only 6 months after christmas and normal choir was the 6 months after that ending with a christmas concert
