you can't expect people to straight up erase years and years of building an internet presence just to emulate the corporate side of japanese vtubing, when clearly most audiences don't care about kayfabe in any other capacity than as a fun little piece of lore to add to the cute anime girl avatar
hell just look at snuffy, she only exploded in popularity after she completely dropped kayfabe in favor of authenticity

as for peachmilky, I think she's cute both in cosplay and in vtuber form, I'm happy for her if commissioning an avatar helped boost her viewership
