That's definitely a possibility, she just wants to get into VShojo's good graces of her own accord so she can utilize their resources. That might push her to break her vow of "ignore any and all drama" and spend an hour running defense for the corporation. But I think something interesting to note is Filian's relationship with Melody.

Filian has stated during her alt channel streams that she feels isolated, both online and in real life. The only three people she has been seen consistently keeping contact with are Layna, Melody, and Saruei. So it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that Filian likes these three people a great deal. And people have also inferred, based on information gathered during the Nux Taku drama (pic related), that Melody holds more power within the corporation than the rest of the girls. With both of these things in mind, it wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility that Melody asked Filian to heavily cover the drama on her stream and help smooth over whatever negative feelings the public might drum up in response to this announcement, drama coverage being something that's, again, very out of character for Filian. What does all of this mean? We'll have to wait and see what happens
