No. Reject the "vtuber is separate from their roommate" bullshit. Rather than seeing the character as an extension of the real person, see the person as an extension of the character. This is the way of the true waifuist, who puts the character before all else. Even so, once a character's soul dies, there may be no finding a suitable replacement. This is why vtuber models usually don't get reused. You can't just replace everything that made a person unique. People aren't just...interchangeable cogs in a machine!
