Women's taste in movies and media in general stagnates at age 14 for 99% of the females population. They literally do not even put in the mental energy into trying to get into new things. They can't comprehend films that they weren't exposed to before the age of 14, literally they can not. They don't know what "mumblecore" refers to, they can't understand films like Kingsman, they can't understand what New Wave cinema is all about, they definitely do not understand more understated comedies like Cold Pursuit or Fargo, and they most certainly can not comprehend the "man VS self" level of narrative like in Enemy or Uncut Gems. Ask literally any woman in their 30s what their favorite movie is, 99% will answer disney pixar or some romcom shit with no artistic merit and barely any entertainment value. Even more approachable recent films like Theroughbreds or The Florida Project or Melancholia, anything with personality they can't comprehend. If their favorite isn't disney/ pixar it's probably wes anderson, go ahead ask. A vast majority of women literally do not understand art or entertainment, they understand pretension and the concept of "drama" and almost nothing else. They don't even care about the story if they can look at pretty pictures and they barely even care what those pictures are. I know it's a fuckin meme but Ryan Gosling on that stairway is an immaculate shot that I have never seen a woman comprehend the weight of, not a single one. If you want an even better example try asking a female if they understand the bathroom freakout scene in Mandy, I bet you not a single one does. Literally none of them can comprehend the emotional weight in that scene, or the self defeating hyperviolence that follows. Most women can't even understand shit like the ending of Annihilation which is explained visually for a solid 6 fucking minutes. I tried making one of my girlfriends watch Enemy and she literally said "I don't get it" every 15 minutes. Women are incapable of understanding anything even slightly abstract in a dramatic sense, they are a scourge to the modern art industry and I firmly believe they are the soul reason why films like The Art of Self Defense and Under The Silver Lake (My favorite of 2018) haven't gotten the critical respect they deserve. Women are literally the reason I used to go to movie theatres alone.

The girls are fine and all but the cooking streams are all shit and boring and have no experimentation because the girls have zero skills. Drawing streams rarely go outside of the "watch me draw and talk sometimes" and into stuff like experimental image processing and talking animation techniques. Music streams are something only mori does and she does not do enough of them. I want regular actual content creation, not videogames. Livestream dance rehersals, or lore concepting, or 3D modelling their own stage, or putting on scripted live skits. Compared to the girls they need to amp up the performance aspect 10X, I don't care for videogames and never have, but the bar for male content creators in the keyfabe space is already way higher than for females. They need resources and they need to be actually skilled in utilizing them. Kiara is sadly the highest effort in this category of higher quality content just because of holotalk, and that barely meets the minimum levels honestly. Make sure they're an actual content centric group, and give them all the tools and freedom to do their own thing. The stars already have fairly loose management compared to the girls, just assemble a gen with actual production experience and let them go crazy. Actual high spec male content creators are already leagues ahead of what Hololive has done with over a hundred employees, if a whole group was actually assembled to work on stuff together they could blow past anything the girls have ever done in a couple months. The whole concept of "Virtual youtuber" has fucking stagnated with the game streaming shit, Chama was at least attempting something different. It was rough on the edges and unrefined and not well planned, but just that brief low production value schitzo arc already got a big mark on the community just because it was SOMETHING new. If Cover wants to remain at the top they need to expand past "games and singing" and into "narrative and sequential productions." This is the inevitable future of virtual production, and not embracing it will kill Cover.
