The mount is literally the same as a cheap ass boom arm, the difference is the boom arm costs more because it's marketed towards people who need a boom arm (Niche) vs people who need a desk lamp (A lot more people). I'm only asking because the part that joins the arm to the lamp seems to use 2 screws instead of threading into the plastic
