Smol Ame is certainly a famous fangame, but the level and game design felt like a hack job with some artificial difficulty attached to it, though to be fair, the Inumore stage is probably the closest Smol Ame can get into being a proper platformer design.

As for the topic, the fangames that got featured on Pegor's Summer Craft Contest look quite good.
