I really enjoyed your contest ver but with the way things are going here, I'm probably gonna end up liking this a lot more. First of all, I really like the expanded past, it just adds a whole lot more flavour and depth to the relationship. The structuring I feel just makes it more of a 'better' read. I will agree with that anon that the dreams of being an idol were a little rushed, relegated to only a single paragraph in the flashback. However, I will go against the grain and say I enjoyed the first meet here over the contest ver. I'm finding it a little hard to put it into words but the somber and almost somewhat anticlimactic meeting of the two lends more to what you're building towards. I feel like it plays well with anon's doubt of Suisei and how she's changed during their years apart. It just feels more fitting to me if you get what I'm saying.
Also, the 'Shadow Woman' does sound like a Sunday morning cartoon villain, made me laugh when I first read it. I enjoyed this and I look forward to the next chapter, great work anon!
