This was my time when I figured out the trick yesterday. As that anon said, you have to restart over until you get face mask + tear, immediately go to the top of the stage and hug the upper edge. Don't upgrade anything else until you have broken dreams, then go for limiter, membership and other crit items. On this try, I didn't even have any enchants and only that one anvil appear you see by the end. It was still not worth moving to that anvil as you need to hug the upper edge to instant kill mobs as they spawn.

So I figured out the time mode trick. First off, it takes a lot of restarting as you want mask as first item and then follow up with the tears. Run to the top of the stage and max the tears, then spider cooking. EXP from kills outside the arena will spawn at the edge, so no need to run around for it. As mentioned earlier I'm quite sure that spawn rate is also tied to the remaining mobs needed, the lower it goes, the more mobs spawn in.
