Actually asking your viewers to subscribe is actually pretty effective, lots of YouTubers say all the time it in their videos for a reason.
Chloe used to do that too early on, but I think she's stopped doing it now. Kizuna Ai's outro jingle was literally just telling her viewers to subscribe repeated in a loop, and it worked out pretty well when she was still on top.
