There's some precedent with indies. The (main?) dev of Asahi Linux does programming streams as a vtuber: https://n.actionsack.com/LinaAsahi.. I also heard that some professor for an intro-level programming class started teaching class as a vtuber character to boost participation. Too niche to draw a sizeable audience, though
