It's just natural drift.
Imagine you used to play Game A with Group A but then eventually interest drifts into Game B instead and most of Group A form Group B. Obviously you'd still get along with Group B but if you don't engage in the same things, then of course you end up doing something else. Especially with most relationships these days you may not actually share physical space with them so unless there's something you really need to discuss a typical conversation can expect to go

For better or worse that's just how it is. Less bullshittery at the old stomps but more subject to our own interests.
