finished reading "convenience store woman" by sayaka murata. i enjoyed it's perspective on set expectations on the average person in society, though i found some of the characterization a bit outlandish, mostly with shahiro (shihiro? i forget his name) and his sister-in-law. i get what they were trying to write about but the weird stone age talk from the guy and his sister-in-law basically saying "don't breed, the world would literally be better off" strange, even if it is fiction.
