okay lets talk about the third movie. what does luke actually do in the third movie? he literally hands himself over to the emperor. he LETS himself get close to the dark side in an attempt to sway darth vader. HE LITERALLY ALMOST GOES FULL DARKSIDE. He completely luckshits his way into MAYBE turning Darth Vader. how is this even remotely responsible? it's peak anime shonen protag stuff. he LITERALLY bet on the power of friendship and IT WORKED. You dont put a spec ops soldier in charge of the government because he pulled off some crazy headshot in a foreign country to destabilize the leadership of a despotic government. These skills dont translate. Yoda understood this.
