To this day that notion that Holostars are taboo persists. Not just among Hololive fans, even outsiders think so (just 1-2 months ago Inami Rai said he wanted to hold an SF6 tourney with Holostars, he had people in his comments bitching about it because they were under the impression Holostars was a "bad" group). "Holostars were this interesting?" is a common reaction when they collab outside, so they need to work on getting rid of that taboo, but it's true tourists tend to not stick around, especially not for their idol activities. It's kind of a lose-lose situation they're in.
