Gatekeeping a corporate product is a losing game because the gatekeeper's interests are diametrically opposed to those of the company. A company will never care about their long term audience, they will always seek short term (quarterly) gains and disregard anything prior or anything further into the future.

If you want to gatekeep, get into something that's actually niche and not corporate-driven, or else bend over and get fucked, it's your own fault for basing your entire personality around a literal Product.
