It never works because internet celebrities always think too highly of themselves and are never self reflective.
They can never fathom the idea that they are "wrong" or that they're a "bad guy".
So their "apologies" almost always feel like they're sad about getting caught rather than understanding that they did something bad.
A proper apology involves admitting that you fucked up. All the other stuff is window dressing without that core.

For a proper apology you can check out Dr. Disrespect admitting to cheating on his wife.
He straight up said yeah, he fucked up, it was his fault, some people might not watch him anymore and that he understands. And that he can only promise to try better. And his fanbase accepted that.
Also it's never about the words used alone either, someone else copying ^this template will not have the same effect without the tone or the genuineness of the apology coming through.
