>you nod at appropriate times, you're somewhat paying attention to what she's saying but you don't want to interrupt her tangent
>you put your arms around her waist, she doesn't react, she's still talking
>you doze off
>random noise jolts you awake
>she's still going
>continue to drift in and out of consciousness, saying "yeah" or "uh huh" at the end of her sentences
>you doze off again and start snoring
>"anon? ...oh well I can tell him tomorrow"
>five years have passed
>all of the above occurs daily and you've passively absorbed all classical literature as well as her constructed dream world
>she falls asleep in your lap
