I think most people here aren't the gachi over first sight types, at least. Given that streamers are conscious to make themselves "presentable" so we typically only see what they want us to see and that you can watch them continuously for hours as they react along with you, it makes sense that it happens. You're getting attached to an ideal of a person.
Personally I wouldn't be here if my oshi didn't graduate since I seriously thought of them as just an entertainer. It doesn't help that most of these other streamers themselves aren't good at the whole professional distance and parasocial attachment aspect either if they're being sincere or are otherwise mercilessly baiting.
