lol effortless shitpost. I've used Kdenlive. It's basically just having an idea, sourcing materials and then use the Transform effect to "animate" and create as many keyframes as you think are necessary. The more keyframes the more accurate is the movement. The key to make it look better is simply hidden in the details you add. Like the effect with the closed eyes or shrinking iris. Just 3 or 4 extra keyframes but it adds a lot. Simple effects like fading to black or transparency can do a lot. You just need the source material. Take a look at the timeline >>58725194 It may look complex on first sight but the only thing I did is adding video layers with images and the animation for them. No cutting, no fancy effects, no mashups. Just a shitpost. Once I got used to the software again I was able to produce a 23 seconds shitpost while /doog/ vs /hag/ were playing. Basically finding and downloading the video and animate the mayobottle. While I made the keyframes I got the idea to add attach to the thriller idea of the short and just continue infesting everything with Mayo and the loved koyoscreams. The result was mediocre at maximum but it caused some entertainment on stream, Joshus will get raped by Beebs and the audience liked it. For about 20 minutes of production time a good result.
Sure we could have prepared hypes but you've seen the brainstorming in the last thread what we could do and what we should avoid. A generic video would always work but connecting the hype to the opponent makes it much better. But we would have needed a total of 7 different hypes and in worst case we would have only seen the one against /manstars/. So, knowing the background explains why I'm extra happy about the outcome.
And considering the first hype where we made fun of Beebs: In the end, we really mayo'd a lot on /vt/ League 5. This makes watching the VOD extra fun.
All the small details like the Koyoscreams in the goal horns or Beebs YATTAs as chant kinda showed that we were working hard in the background. I mean: We also replaced our anthem with an improved variant. It's some kind of development of the team during the tournament. It really made fun to contribute all the stuff.
