She definitely is. She tweets something like this once or twice a year, and sometimes she also points out the differences between fox and cat ears and how hers should generally be drawn bigger. That time she told people to stop it with the unprompted cat jokes was also when she posted about the ear difference and she got annoyed at all the jokes when she was trying to be informative. She seems to really identify with Shirakami Fubuki, it's kind of cute to see how serious she is about this.
