Do you like Mori Calliope?
Her early work was a little too Electroswing for my taste. But then RIP came out in late 2020, I think she really came into her own, commercially and artistically.
The whole EP has a clear, crisp sound and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that gives the song a big boost.
She's been compared to Eminem, but I think Mori has a more bitter, cynical sense of humor.
In 2021 Mori released this, End of a Life, her most accomplished single. I think her undisputed masterpiece is "Bully", a song so catchy that most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should because it's not just about a relationship with a bully and the importance of having someone to push you on. It's a personal statement about the girl herself.
