Yeah, I'm seeing the comments under the trailer of the remake that the new one is pretty bad and it even gives everything away in the trailer. I can see how the original is such a great film and why Ike loves it. You want to look away but you're left wondering "why" throughout the entire movie so you have no choice but to keep watching. I understand people not being able to stomach it though, it was pretty damn brutal.

I looked that up and they mostly seem to be dramas, documentary type films, or.....comedy? Damn I might have to do some actual digging if I want to find what I'm looking for. The only movie I know of that sexualizes men or depicts them in pain or embarrassment that comes to mind is Midsommar (shoutout to Jack Reynor for that decision, he's incredibly based for that).
