Pippa's problem is always that she clams up when challenged and really struggles to justify or explain her decisions.

She should be able to explain it to herself and fully explore the idea instead of just randomly making choices. She's always light on details, but is it because she's "keeping her thoughts private" or just being shy, or is there actually no plan and no explanation? Well, I think it distresses her to think about and she can become a little dishonest or downright manipulative to hide that fact, only opening up about her thoughts afterwards when it no longer matters.

Based on that... she's probably lying about it not changing. Specifically, she probably doesn't know if she'll actually follow through on this or whether it will badly disrupt her career. Or if she wants that or not. If I had to guess, she wants to get more in touch with the outdoors and learn skills necessary for her to "settle down on a farm" like she claims to want long-term. I can't argue with that and I don't think anyone would, but the path to get there is questionable for the simple reason that it's Pippa and a huge financial investment and she will definitely have a breakdown later when she realizes she can't go home.

It'll be OK... maybe. A lot of this is stuff she could do at home though, but she would have to make friends and explore the wilderness, which she will still struggle to do anyway. What I personally think she needs is a roadkill friend who will learn to skin and clean animals along with her. If Sleepy won't do it, then I nominate Shiina because she has practical skills and a better grasp of independence.

You can do a lot just by a good schedule, eating well, getting vitamins, sunshine, etc. Boomers aren't wrong for recommending it, wish I accepted that earlier before I got into a really bad pit. CBT is legit.

Add a decent lifestyle and meds can do a great job giving you enough stability to maintain your day to day life. I'm hoping that's how it works out for Pippa. If the meds help her maintain herself, at least not so much that she goes suicide idealization mode or hallucinating shit, then that's a good step up. Starting meds is never a fun trip, but some people do need them, and given how Pippa talks about her mental health if she's even halfway honest, she definitely needs help and I'm happy she's getting it and hope the starting period isn't too awful for her.
