I know I can't reasonably hold all KFP here accountable for what gets asked for Holotalk, and I'm aware that a lot of the questions are asked by those with little knowledge about Suisei, but I have a polite request to make to KFP here. If you do ask Suisei a question, please have some tact about how you do so if you really must ask about her voice. Also please don't ask shitty questions like 'haha suicopath haha shotacon'.

I don't know as much about KFP to weigh in on your side, but I can tell you that that Suisei is very attached to her character, and she is also mindful of how she presents herself to her fans. When she joined hololive back in 2019, she was and still is the only indie to join and retain her model & design. I'm too not sure on the specifics on exactly how she accomplished this, but she still probably holds the rights to her original indie models (did you know that she did the illustration for and rigged her original model?). Even as a small indie, she didn't want to re-debut as someone else and leave the fans she had in the dark, and she also probably didn't want to just throw away something that she obviously put a lot of time, effort, and heart & soul into. Understandably, during her birthday stream, she was nervous about announcing the change in voice, but fortunately most fans received the change well. Because of her attachment to her character, it irritates me when I see comments shrieking "NEW VOICE BETTER" (obviously an exaggeration, but you get the point) because it almost feels as if they're just spitting in her face and disparaging her for something out of her control (i.e. her throat issue). I won't lie, her lower voice is really nice, but Suityan will always be Suityan, no matter what.
