We regret to inform you that Maya, a member of the crew on one of the moons orbiting the planet we are attempting to colonize, has passed away.

Maya was a skilled engineer and a valuable member of the crew, but unfortunately, during an unexpected solar flare, his moon was hit by a blast of radiation that severely damaged their life support systems. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to save him or several other members of the crew who succumbed to the effects of the radiation.

The captain was informed of Maya's passing and is understandably devastated by the news. He had developed a strong working relationship with Maya and valued his input and expertise.
