The whole of them are a triple poison perfectly connected. Melody and her whoring gave rise to vshojo who in turn negatively influenced the indies into their current horrid behavior, even actively encouraging it (probably to make sure they didn't get any real competition, but I almost feel that's overestimating their intelligence). That in turn influenced future hires of both Holo and Niji, Niji being the one with less screening caused them to hire random creepy sex pests with little pause. Nijis hiring what they did with Luxium caused the other male vtubers to get the hairbrained scheme in their head of "Oh! THAT'S how we can do well!" and rapidly shifted themselves into man whores, something not even male flesh streamers resort to, further damaging western vtubing as a whole.
Now we've got a company opening up specifically and unabashedly advertising themselves as a bunch of whores, the culmination of it all, but I'm sure they'll manage to sink deeper.
