Now hear me out, this is a good thread, even without all the shit that is going on in comparison. I think the new outfits for all the girls are boring and devoid of lore, where the new outfits could have been a great way of expanding each character's gimmicks, yet we got... boring BUT PRETTY shit. And so, maybe what sells is pretty, just look at AZKI! she had all this techopunk vibe going on with her two outfits They were not so good for 3d motion capture because stuff like the oversized jacket REALLY gets in the way but the third is just an idol costume. Very pretty! but noteworthy?

And so I wish cover worked harder with the character designs because they are getting way too normie, like it or not, all the characters have some sort of theme in them and all this alternative costumes undo all of that. I want to mention Luna's design however. Her alternative costume is GOD TIER because it goes great with her princess gimmick. Think about, her new dress is what a teenager princess would wear for a night ball dance party. It even has a riding hood godamn it!!
